The journey from La Leona to Sirena Ranger Station covers approximately 18 kilometers, taking 6 to 8 hours depending on pace and stops. The trail traverses diverse ecosystems, including dense rainforest, river crossings, and open beach areas. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to spot incredible wildlife like monkeys, sloths, birds, and reptiles. This tour begins and ends in Puerto Jiménez and offers a true deep-dive into Corcovado’s wilderness.Logistics
Day 1
5:20 AM: Departure from Puerto Jiménez.
Meet your guide at the designated meeting point and board a vehicle to Carate.
Begin the hike in Carate, a 6 to 8-hour trek through rainforests and beaches.
Enjoy refreshing coconut water during your journey.
Reach Sirena Station by sunset, freshen up, and enjoy a hearty dinner.
Day 2
Optional early morning hike to Sirena River.
Return to the station for breakfast.
Explore the trails around Sirena.
12:45 PM: Pack up and head to the beach for boat pick-up.
2:30 PM: Arrive back in Puerto Jiménez.
